The Croatian Knights finished first in the Heritage Division after defeating the Finnish Sisu 4-1. Ed Jurinic lead the Croatian offense with two goals in the third period. The Fins opened the scoring in the first period on a goal by Mikael Silegren but could not generate any offense to put the Knights away. Now the scene has been set for the playoff rounds which will take place at Chesswood Arenas on Monday night (See "cmhl gamecentre for details). The Croatians will play host to the South Asian Vipers and the Russian Kremlins will take on the Finnish Sisu. The CMHL would like to thank the First Nation Firebirds and the Estonian Ice for being part of this Multicultural Event that helps bind Canadians together through the game of hockey.

Do or Die for Vipers
Written by admin
Sunday, 28 December 2008
There is still a light at the end of the tunnel for the South Asian Vipers. For the Vipers to advance to the playoff rounds, they had to take it to the Estonian Ice and hope that they can score enough goals to break the tie with the First Nation Firebirds. Playing with desparation, the Vipers took it to the Estonians. They played with intensity, and they took advantage of every opportunity to score. Dave Peragine lead the Vipers with six points as they defeated the Ice 12-2. Now, they wait for the outcome of the Russian Kremlins and First Nation Firebirds game. The fans around the arena kept asking why did this team not do this in the other two games?
